  • Household Waste and Recycling - Southampton City Council Web Page :   Household Waste Collections
    • October 2011 - The committee compiled this letter and sent it to the leader of the council about the current lack of waste collections.
    • September 2011 - Councilors voted against a rebate due to the lack of waste collections

     

  • Kitchen Refresh Scheme -  Sarnia and Rozel Court  
    • October 2011 - Residents in Sarnia and Rozel court have asked the committee to look into why the kitchen refresh project has stopped. The committee agreed to write a letter to the council.

     

  • POLICE Warnings \ Information
    • October 2011    - PCSO's have warned the committee about a bogus card posted last year from a PDS delivery service. If you ring it it will cost you lots of money as it is a premium number Link to crime stoppers web site
    • September 2011 - SHEDS - Local PCSO's advised the committee that there has been a lot of shed break-ins in the area.
    • September 2011 - MOTOR BIKES - Local PCSO's advised the committee that a DVD has been produced to show the steps in removing the motor bike issue and it will be shown in various places. It is intended to show the motor Bikes at the end being seized and then crushed. Hopefully we will be able to see this at one the committee meetings.

  • Fluoridation of Southampton Water
    • September 2011 - On the 14th of September the Southampton city council voted to reject adding fluoride to Southampton water but the southern health authority still has the power to go ahead unless there is a change in law. There is now no Council in the Fluoride areas who want it added to the water.

     

  • House Signs on the Estate
    • September 2011 Meeting - 2 different Residents approached the committee regarding the issue of Ambulances not being able to find the individual houses due to unclear signs. Committee will contact Local housing office
